Staff Snapshot: Anna Brink

For Anna Brink there is never a dull moment when it comes to Hymnary.org. Though she is one of the site's more recent employees (having started in the fall of 2018 after having previously been a student intern), Brink's  typical day includes everything from developing new features for the site to reviewing peer's code.

A Calvin grad who majored in math education with a minor in computer science, Brink says she enjoys both the problem solving and the opportunity to learn as she works at Hymnary.

And, she adds, "knowing that my work contributes to better access to resources for Christians' worship is gratifying." She also likes that Hymnary is a supportive place to work, and "that hymns, both well known and lesser known, are available with words and tunes that can shape our worship and our lives."

The Dearborn, Michigan, native is also a musician (she plays the flute) which gives her a deeper sense of Hymnary's worth in the life of the church, and she enjoys being outside, biking, running and gardening (as Michigan's climate allows!).
